Marketing Application Platform Principal Product Manager

Oracle is hiring a Principal Product Manager to oversee the App Management and Hosting components of Oracle’s Marketing Application Platform. Working with a team of dedicated developers, you will manage the capabilities related to the ability to manage and enable applications used by marketers, and the platform where apps are hosted, that includes but is not limited to, reporting, authentication, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with senior product and development leaders to define product strategy, roadmaps, market and competitive analysis, and detailed product requirements for the Marketing Application Platform

  • Work closely with product development, user experience, QA, and many other teams to drive product direction, and ensure consistent delivery and quality of new releases

  • Create epics and user stories

  • Work with development and product management teams across the organization, sales, customers, implementation partners, and consulting to communicate direction, gather requirements, perform training / enablement activities, and provide implementation guidance to ensure successful uptake and implementations

  • Identify new areas of opportunity to expand the offering and drive technology leadership

  • Collaborate with product marketing and pricing teams to drive go-to-market activities

  • Address customer and support escalations, correctly prioritize issues and new enhancements, business value, technology leadership, and sustainability needs

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated track record of at least 7 years of product management experience, preferably directly managing APIs or App platforms

  • Practical experience in B2C or B2B marketing domains

  • Deep experience interfacing with technical and business resources to drive successful outcomes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Self-directed and fanatical about providing great customer experiences

Oracle’s Marketing Application Platform is a key component of OMC’s strategic direction and extends the native capabilities of the Responsys and Eloqua platforms by providing a platform for software developers to create apps that provide new and interesting marketing capabilities for our Marketing customers

This role is based in Toronto, ON Canada

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
