Marsh & McLennan Compensation Consultant Senior Associate in Toronto, Ontario

As a Compensation Consultant Senior Associate you’ll wear many hats, from managing multiple stakeholders, to preparing reports and presentations for client meetings, helping clients understand where they are in their HR journey. As a Senior Associate you will: Provide consulting services to human resources, senior management and/or boards of directors on a variety of remuneration issues including compensation and benefits competitiveness, compensation structure design, performance measurement practices, job levelling methodologies, and governance and regulatory implications. Manage client projects by: Preparing project plans, including project steps, timeline and milestones, and ensuring client projects adhere to budget and timeline. Delegating and prioritizing project tasks in line with team member capability, development needs and available analyst and associate resources to meet project milestones. Conducting project-related meetings as outlined in the project plan, including client interviews, focus groups and training. Serving as a primary contact to address client needs. Peer review Excel analyses to ensure reliable and suitable findings. Structure, direct and review presentations and reports including Excel exhibits and initial data conclusions; work closely with senior consultants to finalize client deliverables. Participate in business development by attending sales calls, preparing project proposals, responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and drafting engagement letters. Conduct project-related meetings as outlined in the project plan, including executive client interviews, focus groups, and training. Play a key role in coaching and developing team members. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: Experience analyzing market compensation data to conduct competitive benchmarking studies and design base salary and incentive structures. Experience analyzing proxy statements to evaluate executive compensation programs including long-term incentive structures. Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs. Minimum 5 years of experience in project management; data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, compensation, finance, human resources or accounting preferred.
