Marsh & McLennan Executive Compensation Senior Associate in Toronto, Ontario

As an Executive Compensation Senior Associate, you will share your deep knowledge and expertise and make a difference that matters! To fulfill this role, the Senior Associate will: Provide consulting services to senior management and boards of directors on a variety of remuneration issues including compensation competitiveness and design, performance measurement practices, governance and regulatory implications. Manage client projects by: Preparing project plans, including project steps, timeline and milestones, and ensuring client projects adhere to budget and timeline. Delegating and prioritizing project tasks in line with team member capability, development needs and available Analyst and Associate resources to meet project milestones. Serving as a primary contact to address client needs. Structure, direct and review presentations and reports including Excel exhibits and initial data conclusions; work closely with Partners/Principals to finalize client deliverables. Peer review Excel analyses to ensure reliable and suitable findings. Conduct project-related meetings as outlined in the project plan, including executive interviews, focus groups, and training. Participate in business development by attending sales calls, preparing project proposals and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Keep a pulse on current Canadian executive compensation market trends through both client work and Mercer intellectual capital. Play a key role in the coaching and development of team members. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: BComm, HBA/MBA, MIR or related degree including significant coursework in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, human resources (HR) and/or accounting, or equivalent work experience preferred. CFA, CA designations are an asset. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, compensation, finance, human resources or accounting preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in project management; data analysis, financial modeling and presentation design. Experience analyzing proxy statements to evaluate and compare executive compensation programs. Excellent project management, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and a solid background in Excel. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs.
