The Senior Consultant is the expert advisor and lead in workforce analytics and planning projects, and proposal development. The position requires individuals to autonomously perform statistical analyses using SAS and/or R. Additionally, this position plays an integral role in leading teams in the development of client deliverables, and designing new slide templates or, and independently delivering projects to clients. This position partners closely with senior consultants to determine the appropriate analytical approach and scope of a project during the proposal development phase. The position leads clients in resolving substantive human capital issues and serves and the primary contact throughout the entire project. Primary responsibilities: Partner with senior consultants, this position is responsible for brainstorming and determining the analytic approach and appropriate project plan for prospects and clients. Lead clients in resolving data issues that have arisen during review of submitted client data. Serves as the day to day technical contact to address issues or discrepancies with data. Advise and lead in workforce analytics and planning projects, and proposal development. Perform advanced statistical analysis, including regression modeling and additional statistical tests using SAS/R. Independently develop customized client reports based on outcomes of statistical analysis. Additionally, creates new slide templates and SAS/R code to produce displays for client reports. Indirect management of junior staff including peer review and oversight of data structures being built by junior analysts. Individual and team revenue accountability A successful, proven professional will have these core competencies: BA /BS, preferably in quantitatively-oriented social science field (e.g., Economics), business, mathematics, or statistics Preferred MA/MS or Ph.D. in economics, I-O or related psychology or labor relations (other social science PhDs with strong quantitative backgrounds will be also be considered) Minimum 8+ years of experience in demonstrable record of conducting complex empirical analyses At Mercer, we make a difference in the lives of more than 110 million people every day by advancing their health, wealth, and careers.
