About the Role

You will be responsible for the accurate, complete, and timely generation of daily and monthly P&L (Profit & Loss) and PAA (Profit Attribution and Analysis) reporting. The role requires specialized business and valuation skills in order to provide transparency, obtain concurrence, and provide quality analytics of P&L for the Capital Markets and Corporate Treasury trading businesses, while acting as the key escalation point for the P&L reconciliations process. The role requires the application of in-depth product knowledge, trade flow reconciliation, and profit attribution knowledge to ensure consistency and effectiveness of drilling down of the P&L drivers to support Capital Markets and Corporate Treasury trading businesses.

You are accountable for developing and executing against department goals and personal objectives while partnering with internal business partners (e.g. Global Middle Office, Market Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, Pricing, Accounting) to meet service delivery expectations at the operational level.

You will provide professional / technical advice as the subject matter expert to internal business partners and Product Operations colleagues on the P&L reporting process. We will rely on you to manage the quality and continuous improvement of existing standards, processes, and policies.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills:

At a minimum, you hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. You are a product expert in the areas of fixed income, and other interest and credit related hedging instruments including swaps, futures, and options. The “Senior” in your working title brings with you a commensurate amount of experience (3-5 years) from a related field where you demonstrated expertise in the areas of P&L, Risk Reporting, Trade Support, Accounting, Finance, Trading, or other operational areas in support of the trade lifecycle. It also means you have a willingness to take the lead on projects, processes, and people; and are comfortable acting in a leadership capacity. You remain professional under pressure and demonstrate responsible decision-making in ways that create additional value. You build effective relationships and are able to collaborate with peers, management, and business partners. You communicate openly, share ideas, and provide timely feedback.

Other nice-to-have’s include a post-graduate degree in a related discipline (or equivalent work-experience), and programming capabilities (SQL/VBA/Python).
