BMO Financial Group Senior Portfolio Analyst-Capital Markets Technology and Operations Business Enablement in Toronto, Ontario
Who we are:
Capital Markets Technology and Operations Business Enablement team, supporting the Chief Information & Operations Officer(CIOO) of Capital Markets Technology & Operations. We are a newly formed team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and experiences in financial planning & reporting, operational analytics, business management, and technology portfolio governance.
You will lead the day-to-day management and oversight of the portfolio of Capital Markets technology projects across several topics including financial governance, resource allocation, forecasting accuracy, and overall data/audit hygiene.
You will champion strong project governance and balance the need for speedy execution against budgetary constraints while maintaining BMO PMO standards.
You will develop strategies to optimize alignment of resources against priorities and provide oversight, governance, and change management across all projects including tracking, monitoring, and reporting all initiatives
Work with the Head of Business Enablement to set priorities, establish and monitor project and program metrics for senior management
Provide clear and concise financial reporting on working plan and supports the preparation of monthly status updates for an executive audience, ensuring salient issues are highlighted, reviewed and appropriate action plans are in place when required.
Responsible for early identification and escalation of budget slippage to the Head, Business Management and ensuring remedial plans are in place to recover in a timely and efficient manner from such challenges.
Demonstrates continuous/business process improvement and reengineering techniques and application. Must be able to communicate vision, define and lead substantial change.

You will gain a broad perspective on the overall strategies of the bank and for Capital Markets and play a role in the execution of that strategy through the portfolio of technology projects
Key Experience and Skills Required:
University degree/college diploma or equivalent PMO work experience
Must be experienced with Clarity PPM processes and reporting
Must have experience with PCO or similar experiences
Must be experienced in working with large datasets and developing advanced reporting in MS Excel or similar
Solid knowledge of BMO PMO processes and monthly reporting cycles
Experience with BI tools (Tibco Spotfire or similar) is preferred but not required
Nice to have PMP, PMI certifications, working knowledge of SDLC delivery methodology
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
Strong ability to identify and anticipate risks
Strong ability to monitor a portfolio
