BMO Financial Group Workplace Xperience Business Partner in Toronto, Ontario


BMO is recruiting a Workplace Xperience Business Partner to help us evolve our employee experience and change how it feels to be an employee at BMO.

The Workplace Xperience Program (WX) is a strategic priority for BMO. Through WX we will cultivate great experiences to inspire good. We want to dream big, be bold, and curate experiences in the workplace that will make BMO employees feel valuable, part of the community and a champion for our customers. WX will transform the way employees work to drive collaboration, innovation, productivity, and deliver a great customer experience.

It will also drive people-focused practices that will empower our workforce, break down silos and work towards our common focus – our Customers.

The WX program will be driven through four pillars: Workforce Empowerment, Enable Technology, Workplace Flexibility and Leadership Impact. We want to build spaces where people can work better together, by intersecting: BMO Culture, Enabling Technologies, Modern Workplace Practices and purpose-built space.

The incumbent will be a critical member in driving this to reality by:

  • Advocating for the WX Vision and Fit for Purpose Strategies

  • Evolving our workplace is a multidimensional and a complex challenge. The WXBP is a key relationship manager to the business leaders and must be able to evoke a transformation that is aligned to the business strategy, capture and articulate the desired target state, and lead the business through the transformation.

Leading through Influence

  • Balancing between an enabler of change and a disruptor for transformation is a key component of the day to day. The WXBP must represent the Senior Leader’s fit-for-purpose vision, while grounding on WX design principles in tangible and relatable ways.

Relationship Management

Change at this scale is a community effort that involves the WX team, Corporate Real Estate, Technology and Human Resources (People & Culture). The WX BP is a key catalyst in ensuring these pillars come to life and deliver the Vision agreed upon by the impacted businesses.


Nice to have Knowledge & Skills:

  • University degree/ college diploma or 5 - 10 years experience in progressively responsible relationship management with senior leaders and some related experience in the Transformation space

  • Advanced knowledge of business strategy and financial acumen to align both business objectives and WX strategies with corporate goals to maximize shareholder value

  • Advanced presentation/design, written and verbal communication skills which bring clarity and precision at various decision-making meetings

  • Strong diagnosis skills followed by good ability to evaluate options/alternatives and develop solutions/recommendations for solutions to complex and multi-dimensional problems/issues
