Merck Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis Adult Vaccines in Upper Gwynedd, Pennsylvania

Position reports to Finance Director, US Vaccines. The Associate Director will provide analytical support and financial guidance in support of Adult Vaccines Sales for the US Commercial Market.
Support US financial planning (Budget, Forecasts, 5yr Plans), reporting, management presentations, and variance analysis
US Revenue forecasting in support of financial forecast cycles (e.g. Quarterly Forecasts inclusive of Long Range Operating Plans and Annual Budgets) as well as regular sales analysis explaining drivers of variance to forecast
Monitoring vaccination claims data, formulating insights on trends, communicating those insights and trends to Finance and Marketing team members for consideration in upcoming forecasts
Finance business partner to US Marketing Lead and Teams
Participate in US SOP meetings to ensure alignment between financial forecasts and Merck Manufacturing Division demand plans
Provide analytical and decision-making support as needed for key initiatives to drive Vaccine growth in the US and globally
Additional analysis, reports, and support as needed including participation on initiatives to further leverage digital capabilities in forecasting and analytics
Education Minimum Requirement:
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning, or accounting required
Strong analytical skills and ability to learn and apply new techniques
Proven ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to partner with key stakeholders in marketing and Senior Management to shape analyses and influence decisions
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Prior revenue forecasting, expense management or other commercial experience preferred, but not required
