Marsh & McLennan Retention Specialist I - Telesales in Urbandale, Iowa

The purpose of this position is to place outbound calls to current clients in an effort to retain business. Offers and explains other lines of business to existing clients.

  • Places outbound calls to current clients in order to retain business and provide excellent customer service.

  • Provides prompt and courteous service to all customers, while maintaining company standards.

  • Answers client questions and transfers to appropriate department as necessary.

  • Markets products and services via the telephone to maximize lead generation for various sales areas.

  • Provides solutions to objections and acts upon additional opportunities to retain coverage.

  • Follow up on quotes and applications to close a sale.

  • Renew and bind coverage.

  • Enters all information related to the call for tracking and reporting purposes.

  • Performs administrative tasks supporting application processing

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of outbound call center experience in the insurance industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers on the telephone.

  • Ability to interpret insurance products to clients.

  • Ability to motivate and influence people towards suggested products/solutions. Sales aptitude.

  • Possess self-discipline, self-motivation, and ability to meet assigned objectives.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.

  • Detail oriented to ensure accuracy.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.

  • P & C Licensing must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
