Position: Global Logistics, Systems and Process Engineer

Job Description:


  • Global Logistics, Systems and Process Engineer / Industrial Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to help drive process improvements in our warehousing systems for our global network of distribution centers. While based in Reno NV, this position will require travel, both domestic and international, potentially as high as 50% and will report to the Global Logistics Systems and Standards Manager also located in Reno NV. You should be comfortable carrying tremendous responsibility and excel as part of a small, high-powered team, tackling whatever technical challenges are necessary to support the overall objectives. You should takes pride in thoroughness, analytical ability, organizational skills and attention to detail.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for the design, testing and implementation of software improvement solutions for the production floor in the areas of personnel and equipment utilization, optimizing the flow of people, process and material through the facility

  • Collaborating with highly technical cross-functional teams to ensure that the facility achieves desired efficiencies with the lowest possible costs. Influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors

  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively

  • Develop process, procedures and testing of improvement solutions; create, maintain and provide associated documentation

  • Provide production support for new process implementations

  • Monitor implemented solutions and present findings to appropriate management groups as needed

  • Resolve production issues

What You'll Need:

  • Requires a 4 year degree in engineering, operations, or related field; with 6-8 years of related experience

  • Experience working with complex automated material handling equipment and systems including warehouse management systems and warehouse control systems

  • Experience using MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Python, etc.

  • Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex process issues

  • Prefer 8+ years of experience as a systems engineer, process engineer, industrial engineer, manufacturing engineer, project manager or related occupation.

  • Prefer experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
