Our UK operation employs approximately 1200 people and we’re currently looking for an experienced Business Development / Account Manager to join our UK sales team reporting to Sales Director UK.

Responsible for the delivery of revenue, profit and volume within Replacement sectors.

Revenue Delivery

  • Revenue growth to meet business plan targets

  • Seek and exploit new opportunities within segments and customer base

  • Achieve targets for all agreed products and customers

Profitability Development

  • Maximise the RPD across existing and new business

  • Setting pricing strategies for optimum segment yield

  • Effective management of new customers to ensure they trade to agreed volumes

  • Produce and action strategic business plans for the accounts

  • Management of receivables position

  • Implement plans for improved cost of sale

New Business Pipeline

  • Win new business in line with agreed parameters

  • Ensure the development and maintenance of a qualified database of prospective clients

Systems Management

  • Account Administration/Record Keeping

  • Customer Performance Reporting

  • Salesforce (CRM System) Input and Reporting

Account Management

  • Contract Implementation and communication

  • Relationship development across customers & prospects

  • Preparation and presentation of product and proposal to customer base

  • Report KPI and Performance Targets both to the customer base and to internal stakeholders

  • Monitor competitor activity , with recommendations for appropriate action

  • Introduction of new product/promotions and services to existing customer base

Negotiation of new and existing contracts

  • Meet with contract decision-makers and influencers to review agreement and take necessary actions to increase profitable business and retention of customer

  • Lead and Development and execution of strategic account plans

  • Leading and coordinating domestic, Pan European and where required, global bid responses within the Replacement sectors


  • Project work as required by the business

Educational Background:

Degree level or similar, with a good understanding of general business practice.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years sales experience, at a senior level, including account management and new business development, preferably gained within a company recognised for its successful application of structured sales and marketing techniques and practices.

Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of business to business sales environments, ideally with experience of the travel / car rental industry.
