Hasbro European Services provides various services to Hasbro business units in Europe and the Middle East and Africa.
As a key member of the European Leadership team which provides support for Hasbro SA and other businesses in the region, the Vice President EU Finance will lead the regional Commercial Finance organisation to provide control, financial insight support and recommendations in all key financial and operational decisions that impact the EMEA region. The role holder will provide leadership and direction to the European Commercial Finance teams and will report to the Global Head of Commercial Finance.

A day in the life of the VP EU Finance
The responsibilities of this role are broad and varied, but the core role consists of the following parts:
Planning, directing and controlling all financial and organizational affairs across the region, including the annual operating plan, periodic forecasts, strategic plans, and maintenance of internal controls, the preparation and interpretation of financial reports, and the safeguarding of company assets.
Supporting and advising senior managers on financial affairs to , ensure business recommendations are grounded in sound financial analyses, providing analyses and insights to prioritse the allocation of scarce resources to areas where value can be generated, and ensuring business processes t drive robust financial challenge and accountability.
Providing local financial input and modelling as required on deals and agreement that impact global businesses. (Licenses, royalties, acquisitions, etc.). Providing input/view as required.
Driving rigorous analytics around pricing, advertising, discounting and inventory management to enable timely planning and decision support.
Managing Finance teams with high performance standards and providing coaching, mentoring and development to support a best-in-class team.
Monitoring, maintaining and enhancing the financial and management control environment of the operating unit.
Leading cost management and profitability increase initiatives.
Ensuring overall compliance with SOX requirements.
Overseeing review of Capital expenditure requests to ensure they meet strategic investment criteria and provide a reasonable payback.
Overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of monthly close process in close collaboration with corporate and shared services teams.
Proactively working with local management teams and global brand finance peers to identify process improvements that optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
Fostering and maintaining ongoing working relationships with internal and external auditors, legal counsel and corporate treasury.
Proactively supporting any new business or development opportunities.
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary Qualification, professional accountancy qualification.
Significant, demonstrable experience in a finance/accounting area, in a large organization and in a senior partner capacity.
Previous experience leading a Finance function in a regional role or multi-country, knowledge of complexity and management of multiple currencies.
Previous experience in an FMCG or fast moving organization selling to retail.
Experience and understanding of US GAAP.
Demonstrated success in leading strategic finance planning activities, driving efficiency/process change initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally within a global, matrixed environment.
Proven ability to influence senior management in developing and implementing short and long-term business plans and action plans.
Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to drive change, motivate and engage teams.
Business-oriented, eager in driving growth. Needs to be a partner with real insight on how to grow the business from a commercial perspective.
Demonstrable ability to build strong partnerships at all levels - excellent communicator with both financial and commercial stakeholders.
Confident individual who can work collaboratively with all department heads, and constructively challenge when necessary.
A flexible approach with the ability to embrace and implement change as well as being comfortable with making decisions in the face of uncertainty or ambiguity
Ability to make prudent decisions using appropriate knowledge, information and expertise
Demonstrable ability to see the bigger picture and think globally

Mobile (job will involve some travel to Delemont once per month and the US)
Experience with SAP and exposure to the Toy, Game and Entertainment industries would be highly desirable, but not mandatory.
