Eaton Corporation Global Trade Manager in Valinhos, Brazil

We are looking for a Global Trade Manager based in our Valinhos site.

He/She will be responsible for:

Provide guidance, support and services related to imports and exports for Eaton Corp operations in Brazil, being able to understand and address accordingly and simultaneously operations demands, internal controls need, customs regulations and compliance standards

  • Manage duty minimization programs to ensure Eaton pays minimal duty under customs programs with appropriate back-up documentation to substantiate the savings.

  • Prepare and report metrics associated with Brazil import and export operations.

  • Monitor and maintain Supply Chain Security program status as a low risk importer.

  • Provide guidance and support Eaton operations in Brazil on import and export operations and requirements

  • Work with the businesses in developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations, as well as regulatory reporting requirements

  • Review and analyze current processes, controls and results related to import and export operations and compliance, to detect weaknesses and propose corrective and improvement actions

  • Work with import and export services providers such as customs brokers, transportation companies and warehouses to define roles, responsibilities and leverage performance levels

  • Develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies

  • Set and manage budgets

  • Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. related to global trade

  • Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.



Experience Required:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related;

  • Post-graduation in Business Administration, International Trade or Logistics Management

  • Fluency and excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)

  • Solid experience on import and export processes and procedures, international logistics and transportation

  • Skilled in people and cross-functional teams management

  • Experience in logistics costs analysis

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of requirements, regulations and procedures related to International Trade and Customs, specifically those affecting the movement of goods

Experience preferred to meet position qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, shipping and distribution processes

  • Knowledge of audit and assessment procedures and evaluation of internal controls
