We are seeking an experienced and motivated Product Manager to help us look after the statutory compliance of the Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll products for Canada.

Our department develops and maintains the Oracle HCM Cloud Global Payroll product. Oracle HCM Cloud Global Payroll is a high-performance, rules-based payroll management system that is designed to keep pace with the changing needs of modern enterprises in order to reduce set-up costs, administrative, and processing time. This payroll solution operates globally and consistently in every country supported by Oracle, using a highly scalable processing engine designed to make use of the features of the Oracle database for parallel processing, resulting in optimal performance. In countries with payroll extensions delivered and supported by Oracle, Oracle HCM Cloud Global Payroll delivers the payroll, tax reporting and regulatory rules required to accurately process payroll and remain in compliance. Our team of highly skilled global analysts constantly monitor legislative changes and Oracle delivers these updates to the Oracle HCM Cloud Global Payroll product and supported country extensions. Oracle HCM Cloud Human Resources and Payroll support payroll operations in over 200 countries and localities.

The vacancy we have is for a Product Manager who will support the Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite Canada payroll products by:
monitoring legislative changes in the Canada payroll area;
providing a heads-up to Development (and other stakeholders) on potential forthcoming legislative changes;
gathering legislative requirements;
confirming requirements with authorities and customers if necessary;
documenting requirements for Development;
reviewing functional designs;
working with QA to provide test cases if necessary and ensure proper testing of the Oracle HCM Cloud and Oracle E-Business Suite Canada payroll products;
reviewing release notes from Development;
working with Information Development to review product documentation and training materials;
supporting the rollout of new functionality;
working with Development, Support and customers to resolve legislative bugs and issues.
Top 3 skill sets in the ideal candidate:
Excellent knowledge of Canada statutory payroll processing and reporting requirements;
Experience with implementing payroll in Canada;
Analytical skills to translate complex statutory requirements into clearly articulated software requirements.
In addition, membership and certification with the Canada Payroll Association (CPA) is desired.
Anywhere in Canada (but preferably in Vancouver or Toronto).

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
