Home Depot HDQC Scrum Master in Vancouver, Washington

Position Purpose

A Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Product and Software Engineering teams to adherence to proper Agile processes enabling them to deliver better products more effectively. This position also guides an Agile team in effective delivery with a predictable and sustainable cadence. Facilitates all Scrum ceremonies for teams while also coaching team members to follow Agile best practices.

This position is looked upon to foster the growth and adaptation of Agile values within the organization as a whole by nurturing self-organizing and high performing teams through mentorship and coaching. Identifies problems, dependencies, dysfunctions and thenfacilitates quick resolution via negotiation, arbitration, discussion or escalation. The Scrum Master will track and communicate team metrics such as velocity and sprint/release progress.Facilitates Improvement Processes

  • Agent of change: takes feedback from the teams and work with stakeholders to implement positive, meaningful changes to processes with an eyetoward continuous improvemen

Metrics Reporting

  • Tracks and communicates metrics such as team velocity and sprint/releaseprogress regularly

Facilitate Agile Ceremonies

  • Prepares for and facilitates Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint review meetings, retrospectives meetings, and other related meetings

-Supports Product Owner ensuring the product backlog is properly refined

-Updates agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & SprintBacklogs

  • Removes impediments to the team’s ability to perform by working closely with Product Managers/Owners/Development and support organizations. Solveproblems throughout the life of the project and tries to resolve problems during the design and planning phase

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams- Demonstrated project management skills- Ability to negotiate, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances with both internal and external customers- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
