We have a Quality Control Floor Staff (QCFS) - Manufacturing Warehouse position available at our Vancouver, Washington plant. This position performs specialized and routine warehouse inspection activities according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Samples incoming materials according to established procedures in adherence to company safety policies.
Provides assistance for all questions regarding quality defects.
Audits all areas for quality conformance.
Informs Quality Control (QC) Shift Lead or Manager on all personnel issues, process concerns, etc.
Brings about improvements to the QC procedures.
Identifies urgent situations, assesses the nature of the problem then contains, resolves, or recommends action quickly.
Ensures all personnel in the clean rooms and production areas are wearing the proper attire per GMP guidelines.
Reviews all QC and Regulatory procedures pertaining to the manufacturing warehouse area to ensure compliance to current regulations and standards.
Verifies items and paperwork for incoming shipments.
Verifies identification information and counts, weighs, or measures of items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Reports discrepancies to the appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
Updates and completes paperwork and logs as required, including observation reports.
Photocopies, sorts, and/or staples documents or reports as requested.
Enforces company GMP and safety policies.
Cross-trains QCFS – Blend and/or QCFS – Manufacturing staff per applicable job descriptions.
Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, GED, and/or any equivalent combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, understand, and carry out oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Ability to analyze complex quality system requirements and handle multiple tasks.
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts.
Ability to comply with standards and procedures.
Good knowledge and understanding of 21 CFR 110, 21 CFR 111, ANSI 173-2005 and the USP Dietary Supplement GMP Requirements.
Ability to perform moderate physical activity including lifting and carrying items weighing 50 pounds and standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift; wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; and work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
