MissionEssential HUMAN RESOURCES/RETENTION LEAD in Afghanistan
The Human Resources/Retention Lead ensures;Mission Essential retains as many qualified/experienced employees in the most efficient and timely manner possible. Must be a self-starter that can operate independently, displays initiative, and motivation to recommend and carry out new changes and procedures/policies. The HR/Retention Lead will perform a variety of professional and administrative functions to support OCONUS Human Resources and Retention and will assist the HR Manager with all administrative and operational functions.
Travel throughout the Afghan Theater to assess, evaluate and report back on morale and wellbeing of Mission Essential and subcontracted employees. Lead HR & Retention program initiatives throughout Theater that affect the entire workforce; including to Staff, linguist, and other HR/Retention team members Track and trend resignations. Perform exit interviews. Provide everyday general counseling to employees and other HR/Retention team members. Takes a lead role in the professional development of HR/Retention team members. Provide constructive feedback to management and senior leaders. Act as a liaison between CONUS and OCONUS Mission Essential employees as well as between the Coalition Forces and Mission Essential employees. Manage, track and account for Retention Funds. Assist with the day to day operations within the Theater Human Resources Department. Facilitate the Retention Awards Program as well as the present, track and promote the program. File maintenance, hard copy and electronic. Leave of Absence tracking. Assists with Defense Base Act Insurance claims and benefits documentation. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs. Various report preparation as assigned. Plan and conduct new employee’s orientations. Prepared to relocate to any location in theater at any time during deployment as determined by mission needs. Assist in administering negative counseling’s, performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization. Other duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
