Dimensions:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develop local commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies for assigned key spend categories within the Contracts & Procurement (CP) Upstream Team.

  • The Supply Chain Lead, working with Production stakeholders, needs to develop and implement transformational supply chain strategies to ensure that Best in Class sustainable unit costs and production optimization targets can be achieved.

  • While this individual’s remit will be largely focused on Upstream activities in Argentina, they will be expected to work closely with CP Production colleagues across themes and geographies, participating in applicable global category networks to bi-directionally share learning’s and best practices.

  • Key to success will be ensuring that in all the Neuquén basin in which Shell operates, we have a competitive market landscape. This will require the development of existing emerging suppliers, with whom Shell has limited experience, and in some instances development of new suppliers to break uncompetitive situations.

  • HSSE: Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to Shell’s personal and process safety Goal Zero focus areas.

  • Implementation of Contractor HSSE practices/plans in close liaison with Contract Holders and Owners.

  • Coordination of Contract Holders and Owners annual trainings/refreshments.

  • BUSINESS INTERFACE: Proactively identify & understand commercial/procurement needs from internal stakeholders and collaboratively propose competitive solutions.

  • Lead the Production Category and Contract Management, building highly collaborative working relationships with key stakeholder in Production, Finance, HSE, etc. to deliver significant reductions in unit development cost.

  • SUPPLIER INTERFACE: Manage Supplier Relationship effectively and collaboratively drive continuous performance improvement guided by relevant performance key metrics (E.g. HSSE, Operations, and Cost).

  • Build and maintain a strong network of supplier contacts, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market.

  • CP: Ensure strong connect across the wider CP Unconventional Organization and Global CP to ensure continuous cross sharing and leverage of best practices.

  • Ensure collaborative ways of working with Global CP Colleagues to ensure that best practices within Category portfolio are replicated quickly and co-ordinate with Global Category leads on Global Supplier Management activities.

  • Ensure that Contracts are effectively managed with a continuous improvement mindset that delivers performance improvements across HSSE, Operational and Cost performance outcomes.
