Eaton Corporation Production Lead Hand in Canada
Eaton’s B-Line Division is currently seeking a Production Lead Hand to join our team.
This position is based at our Calgary, AB facility.
Eaton’s Calgary Distribution Centre is looking for a Production Lead Hand to lead the day-to-day operations of the production team, which includes production scheduling, MIG welding, quality assurance and inventory.

Lead a group of 7-10-line welders, setup, and material handler employees, providing guidance, support, and assuring the work is performed with consistently high quality, in a timely and safe fashion.
Print dispatch report, review materials availability for the production orders and distribute orders to work centers.
Conduct morning shift meetings with staff, assign tasks and workstations, review daily goals, lead pre-shift stretching exercises.
Responsible for the performance and quality assurance in the department.
Liaison with the planner and shipping department to ensure material availability and to coordinate flow of FGs.
Responsible for 6S is maintenance in the work area, daily equipment inspections, and Gemba walks.
Responsible for WIP inventory accuracy (includes, receiving, put-away, allocation and cycle counts).
Responsible for MRO inventory accuracy and availability (includes ordering from suppliers).
Maintain and repair equipment where applicable, perform die changeovers in the piercing units, monitor and maintain safeguarding devices.
Understand, follow, and enforce established safety policy and procedures, including Life Saving Rules.
Train and coach staff.
Participate in leadership and safety meetings.
Participate in Kaizen events and miscellaneous projects as needed.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Minimum three years of experience working in a production environment.
Experience MIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with quality assurance, production scheduling and inventory control.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 kilometers of Calgary, AB, Canada facility will be considered.
Experience in a lead role.
Knowledge of WSIB & OHSA.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Enthusiasm related to safety, quality and performance.
Facilitate teamwork and lead by example.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
