For our Baden office we are looking for a:
TECHNICAL ARCHITECT / CLOUD ARCHITECT
Support our clients, across all industry sectors, in exploiting Oracle's leading edge portfolio – in the Cloud and on Premises – and support the sales process by engaging with all levels within both Oracle and the customer organisations. Specifically:
Technology support for all accounts nominated for coverage
Co-draft sales strategies together with the account managers
Provide support in all necessary sales activities such as:
Define system architecture and solution proposals
Translate customer requirements into deliverable products and services
Design and participate in technology pilot projects or proof of concept (POC) activities
Define values propositions, positioning and differentiation to competitor’s products
Support and develop existing customer and partner relationships and skills
Complete request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP)
Bridge the gap towards other Oracle LOBs (Applications and Systems)
Work alongside partners and other third party organisations as required
Help drive sales opportunities to successful completion
Define and drive pre-sales initiatives in target accounts and territories
Oracle technical architects must be excellent communicators, able to develop and articulate complex technological issues in a straightforward way to both decision makers and technical personnel alike.
You must be interested in advancing your knowledge, be self-motivated, proactive, and we will provide you with continuing education possibilities around technical and personal development skills.
We value candidates with several years’ experience in a similar position or with experience in securing successful Cloud and Information Technology projects. We assume good knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas:
Design of Data Center-level computing architectures, Cloud, or Hybrid solutions preferred
Service Oriented Architecture and systems integration
Large-scale Big Data / Data Warehousing
Large-scale identity management and security architectures
Strategic Information systems analysis and planning
Technical design authority role for large projects
Understanding of Applications (Cloud/SaaS and on-Prem) deployments
Language skills (both written and verbal): German (Fluent) and English (Intermediate level); other Swiss national languages are an advantage.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
