The EMEA Professional Services group within the Oracle Hospitality Global Business Unit (HGBU) is seeking a Professional Services Development Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of PL/SQL and JAVA, Weblogic Knowledge will be beneficial. Good knowledge of Oracle Hospitality OPERA Version 5.5 is required.
Analyze requests for customized solutions such as new reports, forms, views and exports
Create Scope of Work for customized solutions and estimate work
Responsible for creating advanced customized solutions based on scope of work
Submit timely and accurate project status
Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure that projects can be successfully closed as contracted
Assist with the implementation of customized solutions for customers
Fluent in spoken and written English
Familiar with PL/SQL and JAVA
Oracle Report Builder Knowledge
Oracle Forms Builder Knowledge
Weblogic Knowledge beneficial
Occasional travel if needed
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
Familiar with PCI / PA-DSS / PII requirements
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
As a Professional Services Development Specialist you will be responsible to analyze requests for customization on reports, forms, views, exports and provide a scope of work along with an estimation. With your strong knowledge of the Oracle Hospitality Property Management System you are able to have a good understanding of the Front End and are familiar with the database structure. You will create customized solutions based on approved scope of work within the estimated amount of time. You will also provide assistance in creating export files and back office exports.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for analysis, business justification and communication on a technical level with customers and vendors are required. Ability to travel as needed.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
You will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
