operating in has undergone massive changes. To become a leader in the cloud

market, Oracle has to significantly increase our presence in the market. Marketing

has a key role to play in building Oracle’s brand image as a Cloud vendor, and

driving demand for our Cloud products.

Oracle EMEA is seeking a Marketing Director to manage the Oracle North

Applications (SaaS) marketing team.

Oracle EMEA is looking for

an experienced marketer with strong leadership skills to head-up the field

marketing team for North, responsible for marketing ERP/HCM (SaaS) solutions to Named and Oracle Direct accounts.

As part of the EMEA

Marketing team, this role involves working closely with key stakeholders

including Sales VPs and their teams, Sales Development Managers, Digital Demand

Generation, Oracle Direct, Field Marketing managers, Corporate and Product

Marketing, Advertising, PR, Social Media, Operations, and Alliances &


You will operate a

multicultural, geographically distributed team, providing strategic guidance in

alignment to business objectives, and driving an agile organization. The role reports directly to the ERP/HCM Marketing VP for EMEA.


  • Defineand implement an integrated marketing plan across North EMEA, organizingand executing demand generation activities that generate new prospects aswell as providing leadership for creating and accelerating opportunitiesfor the sales team.

  • Drive awareness and demand for Oracle’s ERPand HCM products.

  • Delivery the marketing KPIs for theregion, including increased account engagement, increased contactablecustomers, and pipeline generated and influenced.

  • Form direct relationships with yoursales stakeholders, ensuring sales priorities are met within yourmarketing activities.

  • Allocate marketing resources and budgetto be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the region.

  • Work closely with other stakeholdersthat will help you meet your objectives e.g. the digital marketing team,BDG, customer marketing team, events team and social media team.

  • Define the marketing plan and managebudgets and scheduling

  • Oversee execution of the marketing plan.

  • Communicate regular progress updates toyour key stakeholders.

  • Lead a team geographically distributedacross the region to deliver the required results, providing direction andmentoring to your team.

  • Perform effective performance management:set clear goals for all staff, engage employees, provide regularperformance feedback, and work with team on their development plans.

  • Implement organizational changes in line withchanging business & market needs.


  • A strong track record driving pipelineand awareness in the EMEA Cloud market.

  • Business acumen, perceived as keypartner to Sales.

  • Deep knowledge of Marketing and Salesdisciplines and processes with a focus on Modern Marketing practices (ABM,Social Media, Digital/web, SEO/SEM, Marketing Automation, Content led Marketing,Inbound, Personas, Buyers journey, integration)

  • Driven, High Energy, Can-Do attitude

  • Strong influencer andrelationship-building skills, great determination and drive, and excellentexecution skills are required to ensure that you can deliver high returnmarketing plans and strategies.

  • Spokesperson, Strong written and verbalcommunications skills in English.

  • Data driven and analytical.

  • Budget & project Management skills.

  • Ability to navigate large, complex &matrixed organisations.

  • Seniority to address Oracle executives.


  • Within EMEA, preferably Benelux,Nordics, Germany.

  • Ideally candidates should be Director level andabove.


  • 10 years of marketing experience

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market. Manages a staff of managers.

As a manager in product marketing, you will be responsible for leading the development of company marketing specifications for specific product(s) or product line(s). Manage marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan to meet company objectives. Monitor the development of business plans and business results of e-marketing. Manage lifecycles and product positioning in the market place. Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor the market trends/competitive landscape. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns. Act as a technical advisor for specific product(s). Initiate and foster relationships with development, sales, and other groups to develop new products or enhance functionality of existing product(s) or product line(s). Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Practical internet knowledge. Software business management experience. 7 years technical marketing experience. Previous development experience or developer marketing experience desired. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Successful track record in management. BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.
