This position will specifically be

responsible for the way ODC surfaces its market leading customized contextual

data. Overseeing the ‘investment

portfolio’ of a dedicated software engineering team, this individual must ensure

the optimal strategy and execution of how ODC surfaces its data services to be

configured, customized, and monitored to deliver measurable ROI. Your customers will be both large scale

partners in the ad ecosystem as well as numerous product and commercial groups

within ODC itself.


  • Maintain roadmap of development to supportcategorization service to evolving customer needs

  • Coordinate planning and development withdedicated engineering team in conjunction with Product org processes, includingquarterly planning sessions and fortnightly sprint cycles

  • Cultivate a high-performing workingrelationship with the dedicated engineering team, especially collaboration withsenior software engineering peers.

  • Conduct data gathering with internal andexternal resources to build data to support prioritization decisions.

  • Regular communication with stakeholders,including internal solutions/integrations organizations responsible forexecuting DaaS data enrichment contracts, Commercialization/Product Marketingteams, Product and Executive leadership and Strategy teams.

  • Collaborate with peer product leaders and teamsto support seamless linkage of back-end crawler/categorization functions withfront-end UX needs.

  • Stay closely connected to partner platforms’ commercialproduct roadmaps and changing needs via frequent interactions with partnerteams.

  • Work with Product Marketing/Commercialization tocreate product and capability bundling that strengthens ODC’s partnership andintegration with data enrichment clients.

  • Occasional international travel to Oracleand/or client sites

Demonstrated Skills

  • Can demonstrate proficiency in prioritization ofcompeting business needs

  • Should be able develop and maintain a backlog ofproblems to be solved for an Agile full-stack software engineering team

  • Strong product acumen that effectively balancesstrategic imperatives with tactical daily needs.

  • Clear communication of technical concepts intoeasy-to-understand / intuitive formats

Desired Experience:

  • Product Management experience (5 yearsgenerally)

  • Some familiarity with the online advertisingspace and its mechanics

  • Experience with API/Services deployment and closecollaboration with development organizations

  • Competence in managing technical products

  • Proven track record in a high-growth,entrepreneurial, and action-oriented culture.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
