Platform arena. Oracle University’s

solutions are innovative and disruptive by nature and are seen as key elements

in enabling the business transformation of Oracle’s Cloud customers. Hence, this role demands an individual who is

an executive leader, with digital innovation and customer success as part of

their DNA.

As the leader of the Oracle

University Cloud business across EMEA, you will be required to proactively

drive transformational and strategic sales and pipeline development. As a thought leader, your objective is to position

innovative Cloud adoption solutions for Oracle’s Cloud customers and partners: where

success is measured through their users’ adoption of Oracle’s Cloud

products. Accordingly a primary focus

will be the expansion of Oracle University engagements in Strategic and Key

accounts and the positioning of Oracle’s leading edge Digital Adoption solutions

to ensure Oracle University’s sustainable growth and improving profitability.

Oracle University’s Cloud business

offers a variety of enablement solutions, including: Oracle LaunchPad, the full

suite of Cloud Learning Subscriptions to support Oracle’s SaaS and PaaS/OCI

products, Live Virtual Classes, Customer Private Events and Guided Learning

in-application solutions for End Users. Generally training and enablement is

provided to our Customers and Partners as part of an overall enablement solution. Furthermore, we foster learning communities

and promote training certification to ensure the right level of Oracle products

skills are provided to the Oracle ecosystem.


To drive the achievement of the Oracle

University Cloud EMEA goals and financial objectives in line with the global strategy

and business model.


  • Reports to SVP, Oracle University Cloud

  • Leader of the EMEA organization covering 3 major Regions andup to 59 employees

  • Management of the OU Cloud Sales and Business Developmentacross the EMEA region

  • Management and mentoring of the Sales Leaders and theirdirect Sales teams

  • Development and execution of a four rolling quarters of pipelineto support achievement of targets for current financial year

  • Planning and execution of Budgeting and Financial plans

  • Collaboration with Regional peers to develop and executeglobal strategy to support the achievement of objectives and targets.

  • Works closely with the EMEA Customer Support Servicesexecutive leadership team

  • Recognized as the external and internal spokesperson forEMEA Oracle University Cloud business

  • Builds relationships with senior leaders across EMEA, e.g.License Sales/GBUs, to monitor the sales pipeline to ensure the OracleUniversity proposition is integrated into customer engagement

  • Provides regular accurate sales and revenue forecasts forEMEA Oracle University

  • Develops and promotes the overall EMEA Oracle University CloudBusiness Plan to other key Oracle lines of business

  • Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction with Oracle University’sCloud services


  • Sales Leadership of the Oracle University Cloud Businessacross EMEA and is expected to achieve quarterly and full year Bookings targets

  • Full P&L responsibility for EMEA Oracle University Cloudbusiness and is expected to consistently achieve revenue and margin dollartargets

  • Establishes Oracle University and its Partners as the Leaderin the delivery of Cloud enablement programs on Oracle SaaS and PaaS/OCI Cloudapplications and technology

  • Supports, coaches and mentors individual's in achievement oftheir business goals and development needs

  • Monitors and reviews Sales forecasts and activities, andputs plans in place to take corrective action if necessary

  • Identifies, maintains and deploys an internal and externalnetwork of people who can support achievement of plans

  • Acts as an executive sponsor on specific sales opportunities

  • Attends, hosts and speaks at appropriate industry marketingevents as required

  • Operates in line with Oracle's business processes, policiesand procedures


  • A proven track record in running an Education/Commercialorganization, ideally in a Cloud services industry, with Profit and Lossresponsibility, is required. Required having abackground in Education solution sales would also be an advantage

  • Extensive experience in leading a sales organization and aproven track record of achieving Bookings and Revenue targets within currentbusiness

  • Business and economic know-how and is able to handle complexeconomic schemes across multi-functional teams

  • Understandsthe EMEA Cloud business and IT Market place, and how education solution sellinggenerally fits into this market.

  • Proven experience, and is recognized, as a leader in currentorganization

  • International background with a good understanding of UScorporate culture

  • Used to working in a complex international environment

  • Preferably has experience of managing virtual teams acrossmultiple countries

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Order fulfillment and selling of products and services in high volume, low value, short cycle transactions using telephone sales.

Directs and manages a team of telesales managers for a territory/region. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Develops working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans. Develops and executes strategic regional plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Handles escalations and participates directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction. Conducts regional sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.

Assists in the creation of division strategy and consults with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. Ensures a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management.
