Production Engineering & Operations -

Development Infrastructure Services (PE&O - DIS) is responsible for

managing and supporting all infrastructure needs for Oracle Product Development

teams. The enormous infrastructure and diverse range of platforms required by

the development teams are facilitated by datacenters set up across all regions

to provide end-to-end support such as Server, Storage & Oracle engineering

systems (Exadata/ Exalogic/ Exalytics/ BDA/ ODA/ Super Cluster) by the DIS

team.

DIS is dedicated to delivering timely, consistent,

repeatable and cost-effective solutions while exceeding Oracle Development

team’s requirements across the strategic regional locations. Services are

delivered 24/7 by proficient, skilled staff with an operational and service

management focus.

We are looking for a Engineered Systems & SaaS Dev Zone Technical Manager .

RESPONSIBILITIES

include:

  • Manages

a team of 4-8 technical staffs from multiple India offices.

  • Coaching

and Mentoring individuals

  • Able

to manage and coordinate project work in a structured and coherent way.

  • Through instrumentation & logging, build the

right monitors, alerts and metrics and ensure the availability and performance

of the platforms meets and beats our SLA’s

  • Actively contribute to the architecture and design

of the platform

  • With your knowledge and awareness of the new

developments in the industry, you will help us to ensure the Cloud is ready to

meet our future requirements

  • You will provide technical leadership to your

peers on the team and help them to be their best

MinimumQUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of Seven (8) years of experience and expertiseworking in server management including statistical analysis,problem-solving, hardware, software, customer applications development andprocessing AND a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.

  • Ability to be proactive, seek out problems before theyoccur, and create repeatable processes so that they can operateefficiently.

  • Escalation to third party Hardware/Software service support

  • Ability to analyze problems in a logical manner and toisolate failing components and/or process

  • Ability to work well with technical and non-technicalstaff as well as all levels of management

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • ITIL/CCNA/RHCEcertification

  • Familiar with Oracle Storage (ZFS/Pillar) /Networking products

  • Experience to support Cisco/Juniper networking products

  • Scriptinglanguage (PERL/PhP/Python) experience

  • Systemconfiguration/Installation Automation (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)

  • Experiences with Product Development life cycle

  • OracleDatabase and SQL

EDUCATION

  • Degree

(Engineering), Computer Science Degree, or Master Degree

  • 8 to 14

years’ technical work experience.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of several applications within a business area needed. BA/BS degree and relevant experience.
