MissionEssential Intelligence Planner in South Korea
Plan, direct and coordinate Intelligence Planning production and implementation efforts.; Conduct studies of intelligence planning programs to evaluate effectiveness of current programs, feasibility of future programs and development of planning efforts.; Plans and advises on implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods and approaches of substantial scope and difficulty. Serve as an SME to USFK in functional or multidisciplinary intelligence planning or working forums throughout the Intelligence Community, conduct liaison activities with national level and executive branch organizations. Interpret and analyze complex legislative, regulatory and new policy guidance to develop and prepare recommendations to management. Assist in exercise planning through the training of theater staffs and augmentation forces, improving combined and joint warfighting skills, demonstrating US reinforcement capability, familiarizing US units with terrain and operational environment, and training Effects-Based Approaches to Operations, and executing and assessing Joint and Combined operations throughout the Korean Theater of Operations (KTO). Conduct red team review, analyze and coordinate plans, operations, intelligence estimates and processes to insure they are immune from group think, oversimplification, mirror imaging and cultural missteps.; Coordinate with other staff planners to explore alternatives in plans, operations, concepts, organizations, and capabilities in the context of the operational environment and from our partners, adversaries, and other perspectives.; Anticipate developments of strategic concern and identify opportunities as well as vulnerabilities for decision makers.
