The business will focus on developing and executing a consultative services strategy to help Oracle customers maximize the value from their Oracle investments.


Responsible for the definition and delivery of the strategic and tactical enablement of the newly formed Software Investment Advisory group to execute its core services; while ensuring productivity and value contribution to Oracle’s business.


  • Reports to the global leader for the Software Investment Advisory business unit

  • Manages a division in Software Investment Advisory’s Global organization

  • Works as a key member of the leadership team

  • Works with other relevant LOB’s Senior Management and VP’s, customers / partners executives as relevant


  • Defines strategy for the assigned division, defining the business plan, objectives and KPI’s

  • Leads, guides and evaluates the work of the managers and individual contributors in the team

  • Initiates major change programs which influence the way the organization views itself and the way it does business in alignment with Oracle’s strategic direction

  • Builds strong and crucial relationship internally and externally and acts as a facilitator for the flawless execution of Software Investment Advisory’s services

  • Owns the success of the division's overall strategic goals and contributes to the development and profitability requirements of the business as determined by the strategic plans

  • Establishes short-term and long-term goals in line with corporate objectives

  • Build executive presentations

  • Position the team to grow successfully beyond its current targets, increasing the result of the team year on year

  • Operates in line with Oracle’s processes/procedures & core values

  • Responsible for managing the Strategy for your specific division, involving recruiting, on-boarding, performance and people management


  • University degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience in Computer Science or business management

  • Third level qualification (Degree/MBA/Other) will be an advantage but related senior management experience may be substituted

  • Typically 10 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in the technology industry: consulting, account management, software licensing, value engineering or customer success with at least 5 years’ experience in people management.


  • Understanding of IT technical architectures and affinity with technical matters

  • Domain expertise in software licensing and pricing across both On-Premise and Cloud

  • Entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of successfully growing result through implementing strategy, process and direction

  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to drive strategic and complex projects

  • Demonstrated ability to manage across regional geographies, drive actions and achieve results

  • Ability to effectively address and achieve results with key strategic decisions makers

  • Able to think strategically and to be able to translate this into tactical actions

  • High level of dynamism, drive, and energy - team player

  • Strong commitment to both a high quality of work and service to customers

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with the highest levels both internally and externally

  • Ability to influence C level stakeholders in order to gain credibility quickly, inspire trust and confidence

  • Fluent in English, other languages dependent on the market / region

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Directs people in, and develops the strategy for, the delivery of license advisory services while ensuring productivity, revenue and value contribution to Oracle's business. Implements, directs, and monitors policies, procedures, and standards.

Leads the line-of-business activities for a region or for an assigned territory. Creates short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters. Visualizes how work evolves in order to prepare strategy and team members for future state. Establishes and measures goals and team performance against specific target objectives.

University degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Ability to take a big picture view to think and act strategically. Typically 12 years of professional experience with at least 5-8 years of relevant experience
