Combined Insurance AVP, Claims Intelligent Process Automation Leader in United States

AVP, Chubb Claims Intelligent Process Automation Leader * * General Description The Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) leader sits within the Chubb NA Claims Operations team within Global Claims Optimization and is responsible for designing and implementing the strategy for Intelligent Process Automation across NA Claims, Operations, and Services. The Intelligent Process Automation Strategy supports Chubb’s goals of improving the customer and client experience through improvement of business operations and reduction in cost of services. Externally, the IPA leader will collaborate with Chubb’s Enterprise Automation Partners and Outsourcing Partners, and internally, the IPA leader will collaborate with business partners from: Claims Technical Towers, Claims Service Operations, Global Center of Competency, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Digital, Automation, Re-Engineering, Analytics, IT, and Change Management.

The IPA leader’s core focus is to lead the process opportunity identification and execution of process transitions in order to deliver greater efficiency, higher quality, and reduce risk. The IPA leader will partner with internal customers to drive consistency, improve cost efficiency, and reduce compliance risk within the operation. The IPA leader will also be responsible for building and managing the governance and performance of Automation implementations. The IPA leader will work with both technical and non-technical teams to help drive Chubb’s mission and vision forward.

Key Responsibilities: * Define and Implement Intelligence Process Automation strategy for Chubb Claims, leveraging RPA and AI where appropriate * Leads multidiscipline team of IPA process analysts, with experience in innovation, process improvement, process simplification, in the creation and customization of automation solutions that support the continuous improvement process and increase digital opportunities through leveraging automation deployments * Builds and implements the road map for continuous automation expansion. Create and maintain documentation related to automation projects: process mapping, business requirements, functional & technical specifications, proposals, test plans, and go-live release notes * Prioritize program to deliver most impactful automation solutions * Lead identification of process improvement opportunities that align with RPA strategy of standardizing and automating repetitive and highly manual processes * Drive strategic and tactical implementation of automated solutions by creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases and supporting the operations team during the UAT and rollout phases. * Provide direction, framework, and leadership in opportunity identification process to improve automated solutions governance, consistency, testing, and re-use of best practices * Inspire collaboration with key cross-functional partners to understand their business objectives, strategies, and on-going challenges and partner to develop and prioritize key initiatives * Support expansion projects by defining roadmaps that drive business and customer experience improvements and requirements – scalable solutions * Lead through influence in the automation space and pivot between business, operations, services, claims, IT, and Center of Competency teams * Assist in identifying key metrics and validating benefits related to automation programs * Own development of use case resource assets to leverage for reuse and best practices * Provide direction on opportunities and methods for using leading technologies to improve OCR, Form Classification, and Handwriting Recognition * Manage performance to targets/goals and drive integrated plans, providing regular and routine updates to leadership, including progress, risks, key decisions, dependencies, and resolution plans * Remain abreast of emerging innovations and scalable solutions for efficiency * Coach and develop team in proper us of process improvement tools and methodologies to ensure effective delivery of automation solutions * Guide change management process in supporting existing processes and implementing updates per changes in requirements or product integration components o Drive continual process improvements and inform business of new opportunities o Negotiate through complexity and drive strategy through matrix leadership o Build development case for end-to-end automation program

Preferred Education/Experience: * 7 years of equivalent experience in operations management, intelligent automation, or consulting background * Bachelors degree; MBA, or advanced degree in operations. Accounting, finance, or economics is helpful * Hands-on development experience with process automation software such as Workfusion, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere a strong plus * Six Sigma / equivalent business process management, optimization, transformation experience * Experience managing large-scale organizational change; complex project management, complex initiative implementation; and driving transformation * Excellent program management, project management, problem solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills * Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to use data to justify a business case, recommendation, and/or proposal * Passion for creating solutions to complex problems * Prior experience working with automation, machine-learning, big data, and/or service/workflow architecture platforms * Experience writing and refining business cases and business requirements * Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and oversee multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, results oriented environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments * Prior experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance, especially Claims, is a plus * Travel up to 50%
