Combined Insurance Business Development Manager in United States

Chubb Personal Risk Services is seeking a Business Development Manager in the Southwest Region for the Houston Branch, which includes agents located in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area and all of Louisiana. The Business Development Manager will share a key role in managing the department’s book of business and have responsibilities for profit, growth and expansion of market share for Chubb Personal Risk Services in the Houston Branch Territory. This book will consist of approximately 35 agents.
_Key Responsibilities_: The Business Development Manager will be accountable for growth and stewardship of a $90M book of business, managing relationships with several of Chubb's key agency partners. This individual is accountable for building meaningful, long-term agency relationships through travel, superior service and producer education. In addition, they are responsible for analyzing performance for assigned agents and executing business plans to maximize results in support of departmental goals and strategies. The ability to effectively collaborate with underwriting, appraisal, claims, branch administration and all commercial departments is critical. Other responsibilities include: successfully deploying new products and services, large account management and production, customer visitation, prospecting and pipeline management, lead source development and monitoring of competitor activities and marketplace trends.
- Proven track record of successful sales management and negotiating wins
- Excellent marketing and producer management, results analysis, and value add customer service
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of agency management and effective business planning
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Solid technical knowledge; including policy forms and regulatory environment
_Education and Experience_:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years personal lines, underwriting and/or sales and agency management experience
