JOB SUMMARY: This person will be instrumental in the development of new Business Intelligence dashboards that will be accessible on the iPad using cloud-based data. This person will be responsible for the delivery, maintenance, and publication of operational reports that play a key role in driving business decisions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of 6-8 individuals in the development of weekly and monthly reports to address the business needs of the Finance department

  • Actively Business Partner with outside departments to determine their reporting requirements

  • Hands-on creation of data visualizations and transformation of data into innovative dashboard designs

  • Maintain large sets of data that require validation, cleansing and troubleshooting

  • Ensure integrity of data sources, debug technical issues when they arise

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of various reporting dashboards

  • Respond to ad hoc requests for analysis and reports from internal stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Underwriting, Legal, Actuarial, Training, and IT

  • Develop skills and leverage Business Intelligence tools to drive efficiency and deliver high quality information solutions

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    · Excellent technical skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and Access

    · Knowledge of SQL programming language

    · Experience translating customer requirements to dashboard visualization

    · Business Intelligence and/or dashboard experience (Power BI a plus)

    · Experience working with large databases

    · Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills

    · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    · Five to eight years business experience, knowledge of insurance industry a strong plus

    EDUCATION:

    BA required, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Finance
