Job Description

  • Source Lease-up, BTS, M&A and new product opportunities and deals in local markets.

  • Candidate must have the skills and abilities to negotiate with municipalities and other government entities when applicable, with the objective to close negotiations and agreements that allow SBA to increase the number of sites.

  • Create and build relationships with senior levels of operators and management teams of target acquisitions.

  • With assistance of Director of New Business Development, prepare, maintain and present deal analysis, financial and operational modeling.

  • Supervise the preparation of accurate financial models on acquisition targets that meet SBA's criteria

  • Should drive lease-up, new-tower builds and business development to achieve quarterly and yearly goals.

  • Drive the sales and marketing of SBA’s colocation and new tower development sites to carriers and local jurisdictions.

  • Assist with planning and controlling activities in Argentina including revenue assurance, identification of non-contracted installations and portfolio management.

  • Own and manage operator relationships at all levels

  • Establish, manage and control the departmental and capital budgets.

  • Project and meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

  • Actively innovate, create and lead new product/service and business development initiatives.

  • Build and maintain direct relationships with individuals and organizations within the territory to facilitate information gathering, lead generation and deal closure.

  • Communicate offers and negotiate Letters of Intent with developers, tower owners, and their representatives.

  • Build relationships with the tower business ecosystem and carriers/telecom service providers,

  • Contact potential sellers, negotiate and close agreements,

  • Work with regional/country operational management to integrate the acquisitions also assuring that the Argentina’s operation achieves its targets for collocations and BTSs by engaging in relationships with top management from current and potential customers

  • Build a consistent pipeline of new collos and amendments.

  • Develop new pricing, offer strategies and negotiate non-current agreements with customers.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Indirect supervision of Deal and Closing team members.

  • Indirect supervision of project managers and analysis.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

  • MBA preferred.

  • 10+ years of business development/M&A experience preferably in wireless telecom infrastructure.

  • Above average verbal, written and presentation communication skills required.

  • Above average financial preparation and analysis skills required.

  • Above average ability to read and analyze legal documents required.

  • Ability to take full initiative to complete assignments and effectively interact with all levels of associates.

  • Ability to analyze operational data, interpret business drivers and develop performance measures and recommendations.

  • Multi-task oriented, with the ability to handle multiple high priority projects in a fast-paced work environment.

Language Skills:

  • Bilingual (read, write, and speak) in English and Spanish required.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages and returns.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
