Role Summary

Promote best practices approach to field deduction processing in area of responsibility, while integrating proper SOX compliance associated with the corporate initiative of smart promotional planning, spending and post promotional analysis.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Maintain specific deduction targets and focus on open deduction balance on customer/region responsibility.

  • Oversee all deduction and repayment processing for responsible region/customers.

  • Track deduction and repay trends on a timely basis to determine course of corrective action and maintenance strategy with respective customer base/region.

  • Provide direction and assistance to 3rd party Broker partner – Business Administrative Assistance on a routine basis focused respective customer base/Region.

  • Provide appropriate training on departmental policies and procedures, as well as SOX compliance issues to Field Sales and 3rd party Broker partner.

  • Assist in performing quarterly field audits to assure compliance on procedures and processes are being met and maintained in accordance with defined audit guidelines and policies & procedures.

  • Provide direction to Promotion Payment Group and Trade Funds Analyst to ensure deductions are accurately applied against the correct customer or region trade deals/programs as well as help develop standard reporting formats for monthly distribution to Field and HQ Sales leadership

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA from an accredited college/university required.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting or Sales Operations, preferably in a CPG environment.

  • Strong excel skills required

  • Siebel experience a plus.

  • Must be willing to travel 4-5 weeks per year
