Job DescriptionThis position involves identifying; developing and closing end-user based equipment finance/leasing transactions. Target market to include companies with revenues sizes ranging from $10MM to $10B+, middle market to large corporate. Industry focus to include Manufacturing, Wholesale, Transportation, Healthcare, Government, Technology and Service sectors, plus energy-saving projects within the commercial corporate arena. Product offerings to include a wide range of Leasing oriented offerings, traditional debt products in all asset types. Territory management, direct solicitation of middle market companies, collection of appropriate information relating to customers & lease transactions, including packaging, pricing of transaction to meet business objectives, business development and prospecting, managing a limited number of existing client relationships, structuring of transactions in-line with product offerings, residual and pricing guidelines, close transactions, utilize credit philosophy and review customer financial statements, plus maintenance of the client management system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Necessary time management skills to maintain and develop territory of $20MM. Incumbent must reside in the Toronto Ontario, Vancouver British Columbia or Calgary Alberta target territory. Must have the ability to travel more than 20% of the time within this territory with overnight travel approximately 4-5 nights per month.
Strong selling skills are essential as well as, strong training and presentation skills, both one on one and in a group environment.
Precise territory management, direct solicitation of middle market companies, collection of appropriate information relating to customers & lease transactions, including packaging, pricing of transaction to meet business objectives, business development and prospecting, managing prospective client relationships, structuring of transactions in line with product offerings, residual and pricing guidelines, close transactions, utilize credit philosophy and review customer financial statements, plus maintenance of the client management system.
This position will cover upper middle market companies that meet our credit criteria.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field and/or equivalent experience;
Minimum 10 + equipment leasing industry sales experience with a focus on end-user relationships; proven leasing selling skills, time and territory management skills, training and presentation skills, computer skills and effective communication skills both verbal and written;
Ability to handle overnight travel approximately 4-5 nights per month
