The ESIS Integrated Disability Business Development Officer generates revenue towards the overall ESIS national revenue goals. The incumbent will be charged with identifying sales and revenue opportunities for ESIS as well as demonstrating to the external customers our commitment to developing business in the leave & disability space with a primary focus towards Integrated Disability Management (IDM). The individual supports and leads sales strategies for fully integrated programs which includes Workers Compensation or stand-alone leave & disability for ESIS either through expansion or new business opportuities generated through both ESIS and Chubb. The Integrated Disability Business Development Officer is a critical role in the success of ESIS overall national initiatives, and will be required to work closely with the ESIS National Sales Leader, IDM Practice Leader, Chubb National REO’s and Marketing Managers to achieve all organization business goals.
Develops strategic sales plans and procedures for products within Integrated Disability Management.
Manages all aspects of contract execution with Client Services and Legal Services Meets or exceeds designated revenue targets and manages expenses to budget goals.
Directs post sale activities by working through the implementation process and hand off to client services for client program management.
Partners on cross marketing strategies with other company entities and manages product and process improvements that are related to the strategy.
Oversees RFP activity collaborating with all operational functions from proposal development to close of sale.
Collaborates with IDM Practice Leader and appropriate Finance Division staff on client pricing and financial issues.
Remains current and aware of market trends, competitive practices and customer needs.
Represents the corporation at conferences and seminars.
Attends industry functions and upholds professional image of the corporation.
Continues to improve sales skills through courses and seminars.
- College degree, in Marketing, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive work experience with an emphasis on business and marketing analysis.
- Knowledge of the insurance business preferrred
- Demonstrated pattern of achieving results and objectives in previous roles.
- Business savvy, profit and efficiency orientation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills including effective relationship builder.
- Must be willing to work under annual production goal requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel (50%).
- Strategic understanding of the impact of a sales strategy on business results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong negotiating techniques and sales closing skills.
Excellent presentation skills
Preferred: o 4 years of absence management and integrated disability sales experience for middle market clients (1000 lives or greater). o Miller Heiman Sales Training, preferred. o Strong business relationships with brokers, agents and clients. o Previous client facing roles and previous consulting a plus.
