Combined Insurance ESIS - SVP, Business Development in United States

Scope

The SVP, Business Development (SBD) is a critical role within the senior management team for ESIS. The SBD is responsible for managing the sales and marketing initiatives across three regions (WEST, CENTRAL, and EAST) each managed by a Vice President, Business Development and their direct reports. This position is instrumental in creating a national market presence developing strategic relationships across the broker/consultant community, and generating new third party claim administration (TPA) business for ESIS. The SBD will help drive current and develop new sales and marketing strategies for execution and is responsible for the performance of the sales organization. As a member of the senior management team, the SBD will work with all departments on various strategic projects for the organization and work to foster a sales oriented culture.

The SBD is charged with identifying additional sales and revenue opportunities for ESIS. These opportunities include, but are not limited to, new products and service offerings, program design, pricing structures, and product alignmnet. In addition, the SBD will provide senior management sponsorship over jumbo or complicated prospect engagements and other customer initiatives as directed by the ESIS Division President. This position is an active participant in strategy setting for ESIS as company.

The SBD maintains ultimate responsibility for managing new sales to the corporate plan for the country and provides all necessary tracking and analysis of metrics submitted to the Division President on a monthly basis and upon request from a variety of internal sources within Chubb and ESIS. This position will report to the Division President for ESIS. This position offers a base salary and is eligible to receive additional incentive compensation for achieving national sales goals.


Qualifications*

  • 15 years of sales experience in risk management or insurance sales and services.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, finance, other related fields, or comparable experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proven record managing national or near-national sales organizations.
  • Demonstrated pattern of achieving results and objectives in previous sales roles.
  • Business savvy, profit and efficiency orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills and effectiveness in tracking, working with and analyzing data
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective relationship builder, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • High energy level and stamina to work and deliver under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in and use of Sales Force or similar CRM tool.
  • Ability to travel 60%.
