- Electronic Security System Chief Engineer – ESS Engineering Subject Matter Specialist. Seasoned in all aspects of complex integrated ESS and will provide policy, process and technical support to the design/build/sustain of large enterprise ESS for federal facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Security Systems Engineer researches, develops, designs and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Verifies designs by lower level engineers comply with Statements of Work and customer Drawing Standards.
Facilitates interactions between engineers and drafters and makes decisions about technical items when required. Initiates new, advanced technical projects having a substantial potential of gaining a competitive edge for the company. Develops technical proposals, including technical capability write-ups and system designs, bills of material, bases of estimate.
Participates in the company's strategic planning of the projects in the areas of personal technical expertise. Provides technical direction and instruction relative to design problems and the resolution of construction or operating difficulties.
Conducts special studies and investigations related to project activities and recommends changes as appropriate to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet changed or new requirements. Analyzes project requirements and provides information and instruction for operating, maintaining, trouble-shooting, repairing, designing, and modifying equipment as appropriate. Plans and coordinates the work of other engineers and technical personnel, including drafters.
Trains, directs, and assists the efforts of other personnel, as required, to fulfill objectives of the assignment. Acts as consultant to senior management; champions multi-discipline and/or cross-functional teams. Supervise lower level engineers and drafters.

Effectively communicates to stakeholders about ESS and HSPD-12 design approach and alternative solutions
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
BA/BS in related field and 15 years of progressive, related experience with USAF Electronic Security Systems, and AF security standards.
Must have experience in the design and installation of large complex ESS systems
Certified Vindicator engineer, with experience with experience with IP-based CCTV systems, including Video Image Control and Display System (VICADS).
Design experience with Bosch and Pelco camera equipment; and other ESS equipment and sensors on the USAF Approved Equipment List.
Ability to qualify for a Secret Clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Proficient with Microsoft Project
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and government contract processes
