Combined Insurance Field Investigator in United States

Key Objective: * * Perform field investigations to gather factual information pertaining to product liability related matters in a timely, thorough, and professional manner at the direction of the client.
Major Duties and Responsibilities: * * * Develop an investigation format with the handling claims administrator on each assigned matter * Complete scene and vehicle photographs * Perform vehicle inspections per client’s direction and follow protocols * Utilize electronic retrieval tools to obtain data from the vehicle * Interview claimants, witnesses and first responders * Perform additional investigative activities as requested * Monitor local media for potential future product related matters * Obtain police reports, fire department reports, photos, etc., in a timely and organized fashion * Develop and maintain a close working relationship with local counsel * Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the client * Treat all information gathered in a confidential manner * Travel when necessary * Availability to back-up other investigators when required
* High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Excellent photography skills and experience in working with digital photography
* Law enforcement background is desired
* College degree or equivalent work experience
* Mechanically inclined
* Prior-automotive experience
* Retrieval of vehicle data experience is desired * Strong organizational and planning skills * Computer proficiency * Capable of performing physical inspections in confined and restrictive spaces
