Job Summary:

This is a diverse accounting and finance position within our Finance Center of Excellence that will be responsible for assisting in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, performing planning and forecasting activities, and will also be expected to provide accurate, clear/concise reporting to management (divisional and corporate) on a weekly/monthly/ quarterly basis. Critical qualities to succeed include the ability to take ownership, identify and recommend remediation for issues, manage projects, develop relationships, as well as, the willingness/desire to continuously build on personal lines insurance knowledge.

What we are looking for: * Four year degree in Business with an Accounting/Finance major (MIS minor or work experience would be preferred) * 3-8 years’ relevant experience in an accounting, financial analysis, or auditing. Insurance Accounting/Financial Knowledge/Understanding (Preferred) * Must demonstrate an orientation to results * Ability to work effectively and independently with other disciplines and all levels of management/staff throughout the organization * Very strong computer skills, e.g. Excel, PeopleSoft, TM1 (preferred) * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Strong analytical skills

SEC Filing-Assisting in the preparation and review of the Quarterly Financials, as well as analysis and supporting documentation in preparation for earnings conference calls. GL Close-Monthly general ledger close functions, including recording and analysis of results. Oversight of financial statement preparation and review for various entities. FP&A-Assisting in preparation and/or review of quarterly forecast, annual plan reports and Strategic plan, including detailed review of analysis received from operating units. Statutory- Statutory accounting policy analysis, structured transaction reviews, and special projects which will include involvement in the FASB’s Insurance Contracts project, assisting the implementation of new FASB standards, and monitoring IFRS, Solvency II and proposed Insurance Group regulatory initiatives
