Combined Insurance Financial Lines Product Development Coordinator in United States

KEY OBJECTIVE:* * * * This individual will support the North America Financial Lines (NAFL) Product Development and Compliance by providing process management services to both functional areas. The individual selected for this position will report directly to the NAFL Chief Products Officer and will partner closely with the NAFL Business Compliance Officer.

The Financial Lines Product Development Coordinator’s primary responsibility would be to serve as liaison between NAFL Product Development /Compliance and other service areas in an effort to deploy updated products in our new policy administration system, Duck Creek. The Financial Lines Product Development Coordinator will work in close cooperation with NAFL Product Support Services/State Filings, Operations, Legal, Actuarial and NA Compliance staffs and, therefore, must have strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. The ideal candidate will need to maintain excellent organizational skills as well as being flexible and adaptable to evolving demands within Product Development and Compliance. The ability to “own” assigned tasks and anticipate next steps are highly valued characteristics for this role.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* * * * · Product Development:

o Facilitate the transfer of all refreshed product Forms and Rates to the Ernst & Young and CapGemini project teams as NAFL products are ready for Duck Creek deployment. This includes performing an additional level of quality control in review of policy forms prior to Duck Creek deployment and follow up on any outstanding questions for each product; o Maintain the overall product deployment calendar that represents the staging and progress of activities to be completed for each deployed product; o Represent NAFL Product Development in all Ernst & Young and CapGemini development meetings, including documentation of project status and next steps; o Content coordination, quality control and release of underwriting guidance documents into the “Knowledge Center” within “Studio” o Facilitating Financial Lines Reporting on Duck Creek / Studio activities throughout all stages of development; o Scheduling the training for Financial Lines Duck Creek / Studio “champions” and regional underwriting groups. o Coordinating and direct involvement in Duck Creek / Studio user acceptance testing · Compliance: o Scheduling and detail support for Financial Lines form/rate filings relating to new and revised products to be supported by Duck Creek; o Update regulatory guidelines for easy access by underwriters, SUAs, UAs and policy reviewers; o Coordinate training efforts with respect to relevant compliance policies and procedures; o Partner with colleagues in NAFL Compliance, Product Support Services/State Filing, Legal, and Product Owners to ensure products, systems, processes and procedures are in compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements; o Conduct follow-up for the resolution of all regulatory issues arising out of examinations, audits, and inquiries. Ensure remediation and appropriate preventive action in response to violations of rules, regulations and policies;

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: · 5 years of insurance industry experience, primarily in the area of underwriting, compliance, operations, legal for P&C Commercial Lines products; · College degree, insurance education a plus; · Project and Process management experience preferred; · Demonstrated understanding of Financial Lines products and NAFL product rating/administration systems (CSIX, Solutions, Genius, BDRating); · General understanding of insurance compliance issues and insurance regulatory environment; · Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic product development environment; · Sensitive to deadlines and dependencies among related projects, with prioritization and follow-up required; · Ability to consistently execute and deliver results; · Demonstrated ability to develop relationships; · Analytical and technical skills to understand “root causes” of compliance and operational deficiencies and effectiveness of controls; · Occasional travel may be required.
