Global Corporate Real Estate (GCRE): Portfolio Manager

KEY OBJECTIVE

As the GCRE Portfolio Manager, you will act as the key strategic business planning partner, working closely with the business leadership in Combined Insurance and with members of the GCRE team to develop and implement Real Estate strategies and deliverables by following guiding principles of GCRE. This role will serve as primary liaison to the Combined Insurance business unit and will report to the VP, Global Real Estate Portfolio of Chubb and will be based in Combined’s Chicago office.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with Combined leadership to ensure the GCRE plans align with top level business drivers and initiatives.

  • Develop key partnerships with Combined leadership to understand business goals and initiatives that impact Real Estate, driving positive proactive solutions

  • Partnering with the business, Finance and Legal and GCRE’s team to negotiate, analyze and execute all contracts and leases for over 70 location, 400K RSF, and $10M in annualized cost.

  • Working with the VP, Global Real Estate Portfolio, develop and maintain site strategies that support long term business objectives, including proactive discussion with business leadership around long term strategies and direction.

  • Knowledge of accounting standards to analyze real estate scenarios and options to evaluate best opportunities to solve for business needs.

  • Preparation of stage-gated approval documentation for planned transactions and capital investments.

  • Support implementation of GCRE policies and standards that lead to more effective asset utilization, improved service performance and reduction of total real estate costs.

  • Working with GCRE Center of Excellence to provide transparency for business leadership around key real estate metrics which support business objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture or Finance

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint Required

  • Familiarity with real estate financial modeling, including GAAP lease accounting principles

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to develop, drive and maintain relationships in and outside of Chubb

  • Strong time management skills. Must be able to prioritize and manage workload in order to timely meet deadlines.

  • Must be organized and detail oriented

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Strategic thinking in Real Estate Portfolio
