Job DescriptionSummary:

Maintain International Brazil payroll workload through various platforms to ensure payroll processing and funding occurs in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing Brazil payroll, including entering, submitting and verifying earnings and deductions for overtime, bank of hours, on-call payments, commissions, annual profit sharing bonuses, stock tax calculations, child support garnishments, social security, income tax, union contributions, meal ticket, transportation vouchers, etc. and ensure they are applied accurately.

  • Responsible for timely update of the employee work booklet record and delivery of termination calculations (rescisões/Homologações) to former employees.

  • Audit the semi-monthly UltiPro feed to ensure all pay earnings and deductions are reported accurately to the payroll provider.

  • Audit payroll calculations by processing the advance and monthly payrolls to ensure accuracy.

  • Audit vacation and termination calculations and ensure timely payment processing in accordance with country law requirements. Collect employee´s signature on vacation´s receipts and maintain applicable records.

  • Ensure timely payment processing of monthly payroll taxes in accordance with country law requirements.

  • Maintain year-end reporting requirements such as RAIS and DIRF and maintain applicable records.

  • Month end close checklist to update vacation metrics, government reporting sites, and maintain international payroll department back up files.

  • Act as liaison between employees and local payroll provider.

  • Regularly review and update payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency of processes.

  • Provide assistance and guidance with questions regarding payroll information to external accountants and internal departments, such as Tax, Financial Accounting, etc.

  • Research and follow guidelines to ensure payroll compliance with specific country laws. Meet strict deadlines guided by Brazil payroll calendar in order to process assigned payroll and country specific processes.

  • Communicate issues and/or irregularities to the International Payroll Supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and process vendor invoices including obtaining tax verification from accountants and ensure accurate coding of invoices to the proper general ledger accounts.

  • Assist with International HR/ Payroll related projects as requested.

  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide explanation of payroll calculations in a timely manner. Other projects and duties as assigned.
