OVERVIEW

The position focuses on global media relations and corporate communications and will report to the Senior Vice President, Global Media Relations and Financial Communication. The successful candidate will develop and execute proactive media relations programs focused on high-priority corporate message platforms. The role requires a communications professional with proven experience developing compelling content and creative storylines, collaborating with subject-matter experts and a strong record of placing high-impact stories in national print, online and broadcast media.

Priority areas of focus include identifying, developing and packaging the company’s best stories for broadcast media, as well as supporting communications related to Chubb’s digital transformation.

KEY OBJECTIVES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and execute media relations and corporate communications programs with the highest standards and impact
  • Be a key member of Chubb enterprise PR teams focused on priority themes, including the company’s digital transformation
  • Play a leading role in developing and executing a plan to raise the company’s profile in broadcast media
  • Proactively engage with target media, including top-tier and broadcast outlets, to build a strong network of reporter relationships and generate results

  • Support external corporate communications initiatives, including the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs
  • Help produce periodic media measurement and analysis reports

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with a major or concentration in Journalism/Communications/English or related liberal arts major
  • 5 years of public relations experience in a PR agency or in-house PR role, with proven results generating top-tier media results including broadcast
  • Established media relationships and track record in knowing how to develop them
  • Excellent written and editing skills
  • Analytical thinker who can craft clear messages and storylines from complex issues
  • Fluency with key media channels – traditional, broadcast, online, social media
  • Knowledge of core media/social media measurement, monitoring and targeting tools
