Olympus America Inc. Marketing Manager, Surgical in United States
Working in field with sales personnel to further develop key strategic SP, EN and ENT accounts with an interest in advancing focus product sales.
Further developing relationships with OAI counterparts.
Working closely with GVP to create strategies relating to specific product portfolios.
Overseeing and creating sales initiatives such as sales contests and customer promotions for SP, EN & ENT.
Managing product managers within surgical, energy and marketing communications to determine business objectives and strategy for delivery.
Overseeing and creating sales initiatives such as sales contests and customer promotions for SP, EN, & ENT.
In conjunction with the GVP, creating short term and long term marketing strategies to promote products and/or services within surgical and energy division.
In conjunction with the GVP, managing the development, implementation and performance of marketing plans, campaigns and promotional material meant to achieve marketing objectives within SP, EN & ENT divisions.
Ensuring marketing initiatives remain within budget and assist sales with new product/new market analysis and development within SP, EN and ENT divisions.
Overseeing the development and analysis of market research studies.
Ensuring market studies are conducted, monitor competitive positioning and understand market trends.
Maintaining responsibility of overseeing the management of web site initiatives, translations, execution of grants approvals.
Maintaining responsibility of overseeing the trade show activity and marketing exhibits for SP, EN & ENT events.
Overseeing corporate communications activities including internal and external communications and public relations efforts.
Managing all trade show activity and any lead up to marketing/mailing.
Exhibiting all corporate and divisional expectations of people leaders to include, but not be limited to developing employees, managing employee performance/engagement, promoting continuous improvement, managing department business/communications, driving organizational alignment, selecting/retaining talent, and consistently modeling excellence, integrity, and accountability.
Bachelor's Degree is required; Advanced Degree in business or healthcare is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in a marketing role.
Strong business and marketing background.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Strong project management skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Polished presentation and interpersonal skills.
Marketing and strategic planning experience.
Proven track record in developing and administering marketing programs.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Ability to manage and motivate employees.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for oversight of all Surgical, Energy & ENT marketing to sales personnel, product introductions and discontinuation, creating strategic positioning plans with sales team, establishing key contacts with OAI counterparts including attending OAI strategic marketing meetings. The incumbent is also responsible for the oversight, development and implementation of all marketing strategies for surgical, video and energy product disciplines only.
