Chubb is currently seeking a highly motivated and outgoing business professional to join the organization in a Multinational P&C Executive Underwriter/Team Leader position for our Los Angeles, CA office.

Key objectives include managing a team, understanding and managing risks, contributing proportionately to production goals, meeting or exceeding business unit service standards, building or improving trading partner relationships, demonstrating sound underwriting discipline and displaying a “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities: * Achieve multinational property and casualty business plan by managing a team of underwriters with a focus on production, underwriting and maintenance of new and renewal accounts within the Southern California and Arizona Territories.

  • Responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers and clients within the assigned territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities.

  • Establish working relationships with the Commercial Insurance Managers and Branch Managers to contribute to the overall growth of Commercial Insurance in the region and execute on coordinated strategies and initiatives

  • Market and represent all business products- Advantage and Global Extension - with specific focus on Commercial Account clients with significant international exposures.

  • Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain new and renewal business.

  • Implement bound accounts and coordinate implementation activities with Chubb Overseas General group.

  • Work with the team of underwriters to develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients in territory.

  • Liaise with other Chubb production units to identify account expansion opportunities and round out in force relationships

  • Retain accounts through active participation in Chubb Stewardship process.

  • Adhere to Chubb standards on pricing and servicing.

  • Participate in product line projects as required.

  • Forecast monthly production and annual plan and pipeline to manager.

  • Oversee proper policy issuance and other account agreements execution including foreign policy implementations. Qualifications

  • College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of international property and casualty underwriting, preferably within Commercial P&C. Underwriting experience with International Entertainment risks are a plus.

  • Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirable.

  • Superior communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills. Ability to establish trust and effective working relationships with team, field marketing and customers

  • Superior analytical skills needed to evaluate and develop Controlled Master Program submissions.

  • Excellent sales and marketing skills.
