Combined Insurance Process Improvement Analyst in United States
Background & Description
Process improvement and re-engineering is a key tenet of our larger digital & transformation agenda. The Claims Process Re-Engineer Analyst (Property Discipline), is a newly created position and part of a newly created and centrally managed team. The Process Re-Engineer Analyst will be aligned and dedicated to the property discipline to ensure there is a concentrated focus to standardize, optimize and re-engineer processes both within assigned discipline as well as horizontally across the other disciplines. This positions reports directly to the Process Improvement Leader.
Objective of this role is focused on standardizing and optimizing our processes to ensure we can continue to deliver higher value to our end customers (internal and external). Standardizing and optimizing processes is also critical to ensure we can enable successful deployment of some of our digital capabilities including process automation.
Position will provide leadership, execution capabilities, best practices, methodologies and frameworks, training, and support for process standardization and improvement initiatives, support for automation discovery, and support adoption of new capabilities. As a member of this team, you will also be a “hands on execution” team member working to implement process improvement across all of North American Claims, analyze business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement and/ or automation.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Identify and encourage the generation of ideas for process improvements, support re-engineering and process automation discovery and opportunities within assigned discipline as well as horizontally across the other disciplines.
Connect process efforts to other key initiatives (Digital, Claims Technology, etc.) to ensure broader strategic alignment.
Standardize and optimize current processes to enable them for process automation, digital initiatives, system deployments, new products etc.
Identify and fix process pain points within disciplines and across disciplines.
Create and embed a culture of continuous improvement and a process improvement mindset within assigned disciplines / areas.
Harvest as-is business performance according to a design standard.
Analysis of as-is and formulation of to-be business processes to incorporate creation and maintenance of business process models, context models, user stories, business rules, screen flows and keystroke level detail according to an agreed standard.
Formulate business requirements to automate to-be processes.
Engage with team & key stakeholders; plan and conduct “showcase” demonstrations to discipline leaders and other North American Claims Executives as required.
Key skill sets and qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
Change and process oriented individuals with experience in using proven process re-engineering methodologies.
Knowledge of P&C insurance and claims.
Proven analytical, organizational, communication and project management skills.
Proven facilitation and solution design and development skills.
Experience working in a multi-discipline, matrix structure team fostering collaboration and team work
Ability to harness external perspectives to solve internal challenges.
