Combined Insurance Quality Analyst in United States

Under limited supervision, is responsible for managing the implementation and integration of the Quality Engineering team’s principles and processes into the design and development of IT solutions for different applications that Claim IT is responsible for. The Test Lead manages the daily activities of partner vendor, including: * evaluating and monitoring vendor performance (escalating issues as needed) * resource demand management * providing direction on and approval of test strategies * ensuring timely delivery from the partner vendor of testing output for every project where the team is engaged * review, approval and communication of testing cost to Project Management Office He/She will coordinate among vendors, Claim IT and business counterparts to efficiently achieve the Quality Engineering objectives escalating to QE Leadership and Project Management issues that will impact quality, cost and timely delivery of QE deliverables. Detailed Position Responsibilities 1. Lead the QE team in multiple projects from initiation phase until project closure, covering both functional and non-functional aspects of testing 2. Coordinate and manage testing demands 3. Request for, review and approve testing cost and duration from vendor partner and communicate to Project/Program Manager 4. Provide guidance and direction to Vendor Test Leads on creating and approve the comprehensive test strategy for a project 5. Coordinate across vendors, Chubb IT and business resources to achieve daily and overall quality assurance objectives 6. Ensure utilization of Test Center of Excellence (TCoE) tools in projects looking out and proposing for potential improvements to the testing practice when there is an opportunity for it 7. Oversee creation of and maintenance of testing artifacts (test plan, test cases, test matrix, daily/weekly reports, etc.) and adherence to SOX compliance and Change Delivery Framework (CDF) requirements for every project 8. Oversee test execution working with the Vendor Test Lead: enforce meeting entrance/exit criteria for every test phase, monitor actual progress against planned, determine early on any deviation to plan, assess impact to cost, quality and schedule and communicate to QE Leadership and Project Management Office. 9. Evaluate partner vendor performance: identify problem areas, proactively work to resolve them and escalate to QE Leadership as needed 10. Communicate effectively and maintain relationships with business contact resources 11. Enforce the standards, procedures and methodologies in either waterfall or Agile approach 12. Oversee TCoE initiatives (any of test case automation, service virtualization, test data management, etc.) 13. Provide recommendations for improved efficiency of the team 14. Mitigate team conflict and communication problems 15. Model the behaviors that allow team members to work collaboratively and effectively within the testing team and with other IT disciplines 16. Stay up-to-date on software application testing tools and best practices 17. Build and maintain a solid understanding of the major technology trends impacting the business 18. Maintain a broad business and IT product knowledge, including impact of industry trends, regulatory environment and relevant best on the recommended solutions 19. Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of the business process and products across Chubb

  1. Testing-related skills
    1. Comprehensive end-to-end testing lifecycle experience both on UI and back-end, including reports
    2. Knowledgeable on traditional SDLC or Agile approach
  2. Vendor Management experience: Has experience and willing to work with contractor leads having offshore team
  3. Technical Knowledge: Able to quickly understand workflow/process diagrams, backend/table mappings/relationships and how they should be tested
  4. Project Management Skills:
    1. Experience handling multiple projects at one time and is able to work under pressure
    2. Has experience using MS Project or Excel in tracking testing schedules for multiple projects
