Eaton Corporation Senior IT Functional Analyst - Supply Chain in United States

Join Eaton’s Information Technology team and help positively impact our business through leading technologies, exciting and challenging enterprise projects and new platforms. We are currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Management Functional Analyst to join our Product Operations COE team. No relocation is being offered for this position. The candidate will be based at any Eaton facility in the US. If the candidate resides within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate must work at that site. If the candidate resides more than 50 miles away from Beachwood, Ohio, the candidate will work from a remote Eaton facility or an approved home office.

The Senior Supply Chain Management Functional Analyst (SCM FA) will design, model, configure, and implement functional software and Supply Chain Management process solutions to meet desired business requirements; analyze business processes and systems processes and recommend improvements that use standard Eaton software and processes. In addition, the SCM FA will participate in implementations and provide expert level of support, and direct more junior level team members as needed; develop, demonstrate, train, and drive regional or global solutions and implement controls that are fully auditable and compliant with business and regulatory standards.

  • You will be responsible for in-depth functional and business process knowledge of target application - showing global leadership

  • You will work in partnership with global decision makers and business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.

  • You will manage requirements in line with global templates and guidelines. Ensure that solutions are for the benefit of all users, sites, divisions and regions.

  • You will own the set-up and governance of consolidated, worldwide target processes.

  • You will deliver functional specifications & configuration in line with the agreed and approved design.

  • You will provide estimates, work plans and input to financial plans to meet the defined requirements and specifications.

  • You will demonstrate very strong analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources and regions, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.

  • You will provide guidance and advice on the development and implementation of Organizational Change Management plans.

  • You will apply governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle and ensure that necessary regression testing is delivered to ensure system integrity.

  • You will support end to end processes based on a strong level understanding of system touch points.

  • You will ensure proposed solutions are in-line global solutions.

  • You will participate in global business process improvement committees as needed.

  • You will interact with senior level leaders at a global level to explain complex system issues and decision points using common business language (without using IT terms and language).

  • You will keep abreast of external industry trends and best practices and makes appropriate recommendations to Eaton's business.

  • You will drive innovation.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required

  • Minimum 7 years’ IT experience

  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS certification in CPIM or CSCP

  • Experience in any of these Supply Chain areas:

  • Demand planning tools specifically Demantra

  • Process experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)

  • Supplier collaboration process and related tools like Ariba

  • Procurement processes and related Oracle or SAP tools

  • Rough Cut Capacity Planning processes and related tools like Oracle ASCP or SAP IBP

  • Experience with data integration in support of SCM applications like data integration from Oracle and other ERP systems with Demantra.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Candidates experience to include the use of Oracle Demantra, ASCP and other Value Chain Planning tools to develop and implement sales and inventory operations planning processes.

  • Must have expert level of system expertise - fully demonstrated across many full-life cycle projects. Advanced knowledge of functional and technical capability including understanding of the core programming and database.

  • Must have completed numerous full life-cycle projects

  • Must demonstrate global systems leadership
