As Senior Manager of Content, you’ll be the Chief Storyteller in the company, responsible for developing the voice that will resonate with our stakeholders, in particular our audience of service members, veterans and military spouses. In addition to crafting content yourself, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of talented content producers and graphic designers who produce digital, video and print media.
A key part of this job is to develop trust and relationships with key influencers and leaders in the space. As such, you will also be expected to form and grow strong relationships with leaders in the veteran, military spouse, government, military-related non-profit community and corporate and college veteran programs. You should be curious, a thought leader and sought after to speak at events in the military community. The successful candidate should have strong networking, leadership, external relationship building skills and be able to manage relationships on a CRM or other organizational platform.
Your primary measure will be to meet or exceed goals for Audience Engagement Index (AEI), which includes the following metrics: registered users (RUs), unique visitors (UVs), page views (PVs), social followers and more. You will oversee content for Viqtory’s G.I. Jobs, Military Spouse and Military Friendly brands.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of developing and executing successful influencer marketing programs for brands with budgets both large and smalland to improve their visibility in popular culture. This person should be plugged into the evolving digital media landscape, technologies and tools, and how these can be used to identify and build relationships with the best-fit influencers, as well as to gain valuable insights and analytics.
You will be responsible for defining personas across our business lines; identifying relevant content ideas and opportunities based on listening data (trends) and business integration; creating outstanding content in cost-effective ways; and distributing that content to maximize engagement. You will also be responsible for managing an internal team and external contractors, as well as the writing, editing, and production for digital content initiatives across various channels.
Additionally, you’ll own the creation and implementation of an extensible content architecture that supports the different types of content the team creates, promotes content reuse, and prepares the organization for large-scale expansion projects. This is a high visibility role. The successful candidate will ensure we deliver world class engaging content to meet our fast paced business needs.
What are we looking for?
Manage and mentor other content writers and graphic designers to maintain and evolve brand voice across different platforms
Manage content from end-to-end, including blogs, social media channels, videos, infographics, etc.
Manage multimedia content development and productio
Manage the day-to-day relationships with key stakeholders for projects
Manage overall content work streams
Drive content initiatives within the Viqtory Core and Innovation Design teams
Influence strategic decisions to improve the overall user experience
Present clear ideas and concepts to stakeholders and advocate for design and content strategy
Work with cross-functional partners to develop content strategies that address the needs of our users and meet our business goals
Bring the brand to life through multimedia storytelling efforts
Act as Editor-in-Chief and "chief storyteller" by defining big themes, stories, and narratives with oversight and quality assurance of all content creation.
Relationship development with key stakeholders in the military community
Support new storytelling initiatives for other business partners
Define content strategy for new products and write clear and concise content across multiple touchpoints
Develop content frameworks, design product narratives, and other deliverables as necessary to communicate recommendations
Manage copy through all stages of approval
Maintain and evolve style guidelines
Ensure messaging is consistent and on-brand across all channels and products

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
Veteran or military spouse status is a PLUS!
Position is based out of our Moon Township, PA location; 8a.m.-5p.m. work hours
BA/BS Bachelor’s degree
Eight (8) years of relevant experience
Five (5) years of management experience
Deep Understanding of digital landscape, media, trends and online consumer behavior.
Proven project management skills with a knack for cross-functional collaboration and a focus on completing on time and on budget.
Experience working within influencer management platforms.
Ability to track KPIs and analyze data to build narratives that help optimize performance
Excellent communication and presentation skills – must be able to both educate and gain consensus with internal partners and decision makers.
Pro-active in pursuing new opportunities, ideas, platforms, etc.
Professional experience in or personal passion for sport and entertainment a plus.
Must be willing to travel.
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change as our company grows.
