Position: Software Architect

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Interpret business requirements into a workable solution that will adhere to our existing standards and technologies.

  • Design, develop and maintain existing cloud-based web applications and other mission-critical applications as needed.

  • Document and communicate software solutions to the Engineering, and Business Development teams.

  • Participate in software design discussions, code review sessions and daily SCRUM meetings.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our mission-critical applications.

  • Establish realistic goals and deadlines with the Engineering team.

  • Perform initial unit testing on any developed code, provide initial test plans and walkthroughs to the team.

  • Assist in the creation and development of deployable images for a production environment

  • Assist in coding for internal product configurator tool

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering with 3-5 years of experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

  • Experience with the following technologies:

  • HTML5

  • CSS3

  • AngularJS

  • JSON

  • MVC

  • Spring Boot

  • Gradle

  • Java

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Principles

  • Experience with the following a plus:

  • Prior experience with AGILE methodologies

  • Development management using JIRA

  • Exposure to MongoDB

  • Creation and execution of test plans

  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure
