Combined Insurance TPA Oversight Specialist in United States

Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to: • Provide outstanding customer service and work well with insureds, brokers and TPAs in the handling of General Liability and Auto casualty claims • Analyze coverage issues and communicate coverage positions to business partners and insureds • Write coverage position letters • Review and analyze contracts for risk transfer potential • Conduct timely and effective investigations facts of loss and extent of third-party damages • Direct and closely monitor assignments to defense counsel, establish litigation management strategies, ensure the proper experts are retained, and ensure compliance with Best Practices • Evaluate and analyze coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company • Establish timely and accurate reserves; Manage reserves throughout the life cycle of each claim • Proper file documentation and diary management • Travel to conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary • Negotiate settlements within authority
Minimum Requirements: • Should have a high degree of specialized and technical competence in the handling of casualty claims with particular emphasis on General Liability, Auto, Umbrella and Excess claims • Minimum of 10 years claim handling experience • Experience handling New York and New Jersey claims including Labor Law and 3420d • College degree or equivalent business experience • Ability to multi-task • Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills • Ability to work with TPA’s and large accounts in a professional manner • Excellent business writing skills
